Job Summary:

Establish, manage, and maintain a Valid Master Production Schedule for selected items or family products, act as single point of contact of the plant for all customer accounts, managing the entire order life cycle to ensure orders are processed on time, collaborate with other functional teams to ensure customer’s expectations and requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes production manufacturing priorities for the customer demands consistent with master scheduling requirements, inventory objectives, and service level goals.

  • Reconciles all order discrepancies and order changes.

  • Communicates with assembly; purchasing, sales and Marketing to ensure customer priorities are met.

  • Assists in the development of weekly and monthly metrics, which include OTS, Productivity, Shipment Goals, Past Due Backlog, and assembly production.

  • Request support from the next appropriate level of customer support for complex escalations/ issues providing documentation throughout the process.

  • Establishes new product group schedules with requirement of the manufacturing build schedule.

  • Evaluate Customer Orders and Group into a like build group.

  • Manages rejected and rework product planning.

  • Coordinates manufacturing activities and monitors schedule performance against plan to maintain priorities and meet established schedules. Meets daily with cross-functional team to resolve delayed customer shipments, component shortages, overtime, priorities, and identified problems.

  • Leverage common processes, tools, and information systems.

  • Maintain and advise on changes to planning systems parameters as required.

  • Ensure common processes are being utilized and internal controls are in place.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of relevant work experience & High school diploma required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.

  • Experience with rate based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.

  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with visual management systems.

  • Working knowledge of ERP system.
