Job Summary:

Trane in Charleston, SC is hiring for an Equipment Project Manager to join our team. You will manage all aspects of equipment projects, from beginning to end, with direct responsibility for project execution while working with a team to accomplish specific objectives in a given time frame and with available resources.

Please Note: This is not a traditional Construction Project Manager position. It is not a technical position, but administrative and financial in nature. You would be managing the daily tasks of given projects working closely with internal and external customers. This position sits in-office, and does not entail travel to job sites or to customers.

Where is the work :

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of our office in North Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction.

  • Compares estimated ship dates with contractors’ project schedule and generates status reports to provide details of product lead time and overall project status.

  • Responsible for entering equipment orders & issuing purchase orders for vendor orders.

  • Validates outside equipment and service purchase prices.

  • Generates work orders for equipment start-ups.

  • Coordinates with contractors and owners to discuss scope of project; budgets; performance; and close-out.

  • Investigates any customer concerns, implements corrective actions, and communicates with the customer.

  • Responsible for project cash-flow management: progress billing, collections support and monitoring, and resource management.

  • Establishes a professional relationship with the customer and interfaces constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of project management, equipment, HVAC or related experience; OR a minimum of 3-5 years of project management, equipment, HVAC or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature equipment preferred.

  • Strong, demonstrated customer service and problem solving skills

  • Strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high paced environment with attention to detail.

Compensation:

Compensation Range: $62,000-89,400
