Join Trane Technologies’ Life Science Solutions as a Lead Industrial Design Engineer ! Our Lead Industrial Design Engineer is a key member of the product development team which works closely with other teams, such as the Manufacturing and Product Management teams to create competitive designs for Life Science Solutions. The selected individual must have the technical expertise to support product design projects, product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality & reliability issues, interpret technical agency standards and conduct projects in accordance with standard engineering and stage gate PDP practices.

Where is the work:

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of Noblesville, IN .

What you will do:

  • Meet the needs of internal and external customers, through documenting, understanding and prioritizing customer requirements.

  • Apply technical expertise to solve design problems or to gauge appropriateness of product to various applications.

  • Lead the product architecture development on project teams to meet performance, reliability, cost and schedule objectives.

  • Lead best practice development of engineering documentation, including 3D models, bills of materials, drawings, and specifications.

  • Conduct FEA and CFD analysis of refrigeration products

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing engineering, suppliers, technical service and operations.

  • Both domestic and international travel may be required. Estimated travel is 10%.

What you will bring:

  • Associates Degree in Industrial Design or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Design, or Industrial Technology.

  • Lead the product design on cross-functional product engineering teams and deliver on all design elements for projects.

  • Outstanding experience using 3D CAD tools (ex. Autodesk Inventor) and MRP systems (ex. Misys).

Compensation:

Annual base compensation: $94,950 – 125,550

Our prosperous commission plans grow over time with a successful employee’s growing pipeline. Some sales professionals may eventually move to 100% commission.
