Position Description

  • Responsible for the safety, quality, and production of the team.

  • Lead the team to participate in decision making, problem solving, and continuous improvement process.

· Perform duties as needed associated with the performance of the work cell.

  • Must be able to learn and perform all jobs within the team as well as be able to instruct others on how to perform all jobs within the team. Train new team members.

  • Transfer and assign work within his or her work area to ensure tasks are completed on time.

  • Assess and coach team members, while developing individuals toward their career goals.

  • Effectively communicate outside of the team and across shifts.

  • Demonstrate an absolute commitment to safety and model safe behavior.

  • Relieve and replace team members as required.

  • Work with minimum supervision and being a self-starter.

  • Predict, identify, and resolve problems.

  • Lead by example. Responsible to motivate and hold team members accountable.

  • Assist in cycle counting and annual warehouse inventory.

  • Complete ongoing training as required.

  • Flexible with work time.Some over-time, including weekends, may be required.

  • Perform any additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Actively practices and promotes safety.

  • Demonstrates sustained exemplary performance in attitude, attendance, and ability.

  • Comply with Demand Flow Principles (flexing, following method sheets, checklist, Total Quality Control, etc.)

  • Displays initiative and creativity in problem solving.

  • Promotes a clear quality vision.

  • Team focused and cooperative across teams and shifts.

  • Promotes continuous improvement in products, services, and processes.

  • Must participate in the Team Leader Development Program.

  • Knowledge of receiving and warehousing work processes preferred.

  • Certified to drive forklift.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to use skylift.

  • Must have valid State driver's license

  • Ability to drive 1 ton truck pulling a trailer.

  • Computer knowledge: Proficient with ERP/MRP or equivalent, Microsoft Office applications(MS Outlook, Excel, word)
