Position Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lean Leader to drive and oversee the transformation & build of our strategic capabilities in the Residential HVAC business. The leader will lead and coach our business leaders to optimize our distribution network operations and inventory management systems within our Residential HVAC business. The Value Stream Coach will play a crucial role in optimizing our operations, improving overall efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position will require strong collaboration & leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and in-depth knowledge of lean principles and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation of our network and inventory management systems in alignment with the business objectives and lean principles.

  • Develop and implement lean strategies, tools, and techniques to successfully identify and eliminate waste, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency throughout the Residential business

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor the progress, effectiveness, and success of lean initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to distribution, sales, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and IT, to identify areas of improvement and implement lean solutions.

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure a thorough understanding and successful implementation of lean methodologies.

  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify opportunities for improvement and to ensure compliance with lean practices and standards.

  • Act as a change agent, effectively communicating the benefits and importance of lean methodologies to stakeholders and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.

  • Provide lean coaching and facilitation on high impact strategic initiatives connected to goal deployment and long range plan objectives.

  • Support SBU OpEx strategic initiatives to build capability in our systems and people to enable customer value and business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience leading successful lean transformations in a transactional &/or manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, warehouse and inventory management, engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading lean initiatives and driving continuous improvement in complex transactional, manufacturing or distribution environments.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of lean principles and methodologies, such as value stream analysis / mapping, Kanban, 5S, Pull system replenishment, daily tiered management, problem solving and Kaizen.

  • Experience in cross functional leadership team goal deployment, strategic initiative programs and coaching Sr. leaders to implement transformative change to support business growth.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of inefficiencies and develop effective solutions.

  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with the capability to motivate, influence, and inspire others to embrace lean principles and drive change.

  • Strong performance and process management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within established deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience with implementing robust systems/processes to enable new levels of capability and performance.

Base Pay Range: $150,000 - $175,000
