Job Summary:

The Supply Pricing Manager is responsible for driving success in our North America HVAC Supply business through strategic pricing initiatives. Working closely with product and sales teams, this role will develop and implement pricing programs that optimize price realization and margin expansion. By establishing market relevant pricing strategies and identifying strategic opportunities, the Supply Pricing Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving market share growth for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver analysis and presentations to senior leadership team

  • Leverage and share pricing processes, standard work and tools across project management and marketing

  • Collaborate with sales leadership and external stakeholders for effective pricing practices and realizations

  • Develop and leverage BOS Standard work and lean fundamentals (strategy A3, 9-step problem solving and Rapid Improvement Events) for planning, problem solving and driving continuous improvements

  • Analyze & report on strategic price moves to influence business planning processes

  • Utilize and optimize pricing management system and tools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s with at least 5 years related work experience

  • Advanced knowledge of personal computer applications (Excel, Word, Visio, and PP)

  • Demonstrated success analyzing data to solve business problems and improve performance

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across geographies/functional areas are necessary

  • Ability to influence people outside of his or her direct span of control to deliver high impact results

  • Ability to track and analyze pricing decisions

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to build and sustain customer relationships

  • Able to facilitate change

Key Competencies:

  • Customer & Competitor Insights (Advanced)

  • Gather and analyzes data on how customers use and value our products or services. This includes understanding how customers utilize and perceive our offerings, identifying any unmet needs and pain points they may have, and evaluating their purchasing behavior. Additionally, this role will examine industry trends, competitor dynamics, market share, and market segmentation to develop a comprehensive understanding of our product line. By leveraging this information, we can build a strong foundation of knowledge to inform our business decisions.

  • Data Driven Decision Making (Advanced)

  • Gather and use qualitative and quantitative data to effectively separate facts from opinions to make structured and informed decisions that benefit Trane Technologies Supply Business and meet customer needs. Leverages BOS standard work and lean fundamentals (Strategy A3, 9-step problem solving, and Rapid Improvement Events) for planning, problem-solving and driving continuous improvement.

  • Value-Based Pricing & Strategy (Advanced)

  • Develop and execute pricing models for new and existing offerings that are based on the value delivered to the customer and that are market competitive. Understand how customer’s experience value, product substitutions, relative competitive positioning and market trends. Manage the price volume trade off of current offerings by maintaining knowledge of how the value proposition changes over time, setting prices accordingly and issuing value communication to the channel.

  • Transactional Pricing (Expert)

  • Aggregate, manage and analyze transactional pricing data for insights into customer purchasing behaviors. Measure the effectiveness of the pricing processes and discount management across the business. Validate the effectiveness of comprehensive pricing strategies. Constantly and proactively monitor the value/price exchange in commercial interactions through price leakage/outlier identification and management and long tail analysis. Work together with Product Managers and Sales Leaders to ensure alignment of pricing and product line strategies.
