Job Summary

The Graduate/Trainee will support the external Sales Team by conducting the following duties in a timely manner with the ability to develop into an experienced sales engineer as part of a career and development plan.

Target Delivery

  • Target customer pipeline and new accounts though external visits to customers in the SME markets selling packaged temperature control range solutions and installations leads to sales engineers.

  • Service Level Agreement targets such as customer visits, quotes, and leads.

  • Role will have a structured revenue package in place on territory assigned.

  • Able to utilise a sales CRM/DFSD system and grow experience as a trainee as part of this role as career development.

  • Spend 1-day minimum per week with an experienced Sales Engineer to grow in the role on the job training.

  • Conduct sales quotes as per targets and goals

  • Provide holiday cover in a specific territory for sales engineers.

  • Handle incoming sales calls when assigned to the office.

  • Select and provide Technical Specs for Ancillary Equipment

  • Maintain a Technical Files

  • Liaise with Sales Order processing as required.

  • Attend sales meetings as required.

  • Accountable for timely and accurate forecasting and reporting on bookings, revenue, conversion rates and maintenance of overall pipeline in line with a Sales and incentive Plan (SIP)

Customers

  • Proactive contact with key customers and responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction to include relationship management and handling customer issues where confident or escalate to line manager.

  • Maintain customer information in company systems as required to ensure effective data management

Teamwork

  • Active participation in the local and wider UK sales team to include any initiatives relating to Sales Force Effectiveness and overall skill development

  • Proactive in establishing positive working relationships with local Service Sales Engineers, Customer Care Teams, Project team and other functions in the wider business to best support the positive customer experience

Other

  • Compliance with and participation in any EHS and Trane Technologies initiatives within the function and any Country specific general and industry regulated compliance to include risk assessments

  • Compliance with internal code of conduct and ethical frameworks

  • Any other ad hoc duties reasonably requested by your line manager

Skills and Capabilities:

  • People skills with a positive mindset

  • Good Communication

  • Graduate qualification in Engineering, Sales, Business or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications an advantage

  • Strong Computer (ICT) skills, MS Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel

  • UK Right to Work status confirmed

  • UK Drivers licence
