Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for the coordination of the stores on-site activities, handling receipt, stocking, and shipping of products; staging and delivering customer orders; and all transactions with the business and local vendors.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse (includes some delivery):

  • Responsible for staging, shipping and receiving parts, equipment, and supplies.

  • Stocks the parts stores with an appropriate amount of merchandise.

  • Responsible for inventory control, including determining levels, identifying and disposing of excess and obsolete inventory, and maintaining system inventory accuracy.

  • Enters inventory into software system.

  • Receives material into inventory, move material by quantity between designated locations, and locate/pick material to/from warehouse locations as required. Ensures accurate part number, quantity, and other data fields entries that impact electronic records of receipts, inventories, location; Resolves discrepancies with material quantities, part numbers;

  • Handles bin locations including optimization

  • Responsible for will calls

  • May deliver parts to customer locations or job sites, other parts stores

  • Practices safe material handling techniques.

  • Completes training as required, including safety training, certification and testing.

  • Safely operates assigned material handling equipment. Ensures that all equipment in use has been inspected and is in safe operating condition. Reports all accidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor.

  • Reinforces culture of safety by utilizing all appropriate resources to safely perform all functions of the job.

  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

  • Flexibility to work on-call shifts, as required.

Supply Locations Only (in addition to the above):

  • Filing of M/S’s, freight bills of lading, equipment packing slips, etc. for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes.

  • Responsible for filing of freight claims for damaged goods.

  • Manages transfers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a customer oriented person with a High school diploma or GED required plus minimum of six months warehouse experience. Forklift experience a plus.

Key competencies:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

  • Possess basic math skills. Ability to perform these basic operations using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to take care of problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.

Base pay for this position starts at $20 an hour. Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and effectively communicate with others - talk and hear. You will frequently be required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw. You will occasionally required to sit. This position regularly lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds, frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Any lifting above 50 pounds should be done mechanically.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

This position works in a typical parts warehouse environment. You occasionally will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, and fumes from forklift. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
