We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HR professional for the position of HR Coordinator at our Georgia Distribution Center in Atlanta, Georgia. This role primarily focuses on providing comprehensive support for a wide range of HR activities, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes, policies and promoting the well-being of our employees.

This role has been designated by the company as Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Relations Support : Act as a trusted resource for employees, offering guidance and assistance with HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.

  2. Onboarding and Offboarding Assistance: Manage the entire employee onboarding process, conduct orientations, assist with I-9 forms, benefits enrollment, and direct deposit setup. Coordinate offboarding activities and conduct exit interviews, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.

  3. Performance Management Assistance : Support supervisors in the performance management process, aiding with corrective actions and ensuring compliance with handbook requirements.

  4. HR Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Handle digital and physical filing of paperwork.

  5. Employee Engagement Support : Collaborate on the implementation of employee engagement initiatives, such as recognition programs, employee surveys, and social events.

  6. Recruitment and Selection: Provide administrative support to the recruitment efforts for hourly employees, including creating requisitions, setting interviews and preparation of offer letter

  7. Employee Safety and Wellness: Collaborate on safety initiatives and help promote a culture of workplace safety. Assist in coordinating wellness programs and activities for employee well-being.

  8. Payroll Managemen t: Assist in managing weekly payroll for both distribution centers and oversee payroll program activities, such as Perfect Attendance and Summer Attendance Program.

  9. Temp Labor Management : Partner with Temp employees’ supplier to accurately capture temp employee headcount and assist in temp to perm conversion process

Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, with a focus on providing support in employee relations, performance management, and HR operations (HR internship experience accepted).

  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and legal requirements.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Payroll systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information proficiently.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time position based at our Georgia Distribution Center in Atlanta, where you will primarily provide comprehensive HR support. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting with employee relations, onboarding and offboarding processes, performance management, HR record management, employee engagement initiatives, recruitment and selection efforts, benefits administration, employee safety and wellness initiatives, payroll management, and other assigned duties
